Hotel Iris Venice

The location near the water buses is fantastic. My single room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. The spare pillow was appreciated. The bathroom was quite tiny was nice. The noise from other guests was annoying, especially from the room above, where I could hear conversations late into the night. The front desk wasn't always manned. I noticed that anyone could easily access the room keys since they were just sitting out in the open. Although my room had no issues with bedbugs, I remained concerned about the general safety due to the lack of staff presence. Improvements in soundproofing and better staff availability would enhance the experience significantly.

Neat room, quirky accommodation and amicable staff. Appetising variety at breakfast. Perfect location, 10 minutes' walk to a wide canal. Good stay in very nice area. Great choice for trip.

Hotel was very easy in access from P. Roma Bus Stop and very near to Boat Stop. Service was excellent and Rooms were also excellent.

A mixed bag in Venice

Although I was apprehensive at first, I was kinda surprised by the comfy bed and spacious room. The croissants at breakfast were good, setting a positive tone for the day.

The lack of staff presence at the front desk made me uncomfortable, especially at night. I also struggled with noise issues from neighboring rooms, which interrupted my sleep.

the place is easily to found and handy to both staion and city heart, a nice restaurant nearby not the one below !! Mosquitos you have to live with it in Venize !!!

The bed felt comfy, and being close to the canals was a major plus. The bathroom was pretty snug, and I heard every noise from the hallway. It worked for a budget trip to Venice.

The location is wonderful Not far from the city centre and at the same time quiet.

the location was the best part. It was within walking distance to St. Lucia staion. however the hotel was vague about its location when called. there wasnt a proper map to follow on the website

the room smelled like something had died in it. the staff agreed that it was offensive but said that it was because it was Venice and this is what can be expected. The bathroom was filthy with mould all over the floor and ;the shower curtain. the staff were not very helpful or sympathetic and their attitude was 'this is venice what do you expect'.

Cutting through the noise

Situated just 100m from Frari, this place boasts a prime location. Plus, there's a late-opening supermarket nearby for quick snacks. My room was basic yet comfortable, perfect for a solo traveler on a budget. Great value for your money if you prioritize location over luxury!

Location, especially the canal view in 125. Helpful staff, even when we checked in and out at crazy times in the early morning.

While the staff were helpful, they were horribly undermanned, especially at breakfast. We skipped breakfast on our second two mornings after the atrocity of the first. Room was never cleaned or bed made up. Had to ask for more soap and toilet paper and the guy sbehind the desk didn't know where it was!

The location was decent and, if you go at any time other than Carnevale, it is probably a quiet neighborhood. The rooms were clean and the price was good.

The man working the front desk during the day was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When we asked him for advice on getting to Burano, he said, "I don't know, I've never been there" and didn't even attempt to assist. The breakfast is very basic and is only served from 8-9:30.
